My Approach & Philosophy
I became a therapist because I have a passion for helping others. As a wife, mother, and woman, I have a special interest in supporting families, couples, and children, as well as individuals who face everyday challenges that can prevent us from living our best lives.
I love having the profound privilege of witnessing human resilience and seeing breakthroughs people make, allowing them to live more authentic, fulfilling lives. I get to work with a diverse group of people and hold space for their vulnerability and resilience which feels more like a mission than a job!
I try to create a therapeutic space where people can slow down, take time for non-judgmental reflection, process emotions and find the things that help them to live with authenticity and intention. I work to support and collaborate with people of all backgrounds, helping them grow, seek change, begin the healing process and celebrate their unique experiences. I have a good sense of humor and do feel that sometimes laughter is the best medicine!
I believe everybody can improve their mental well-being through guided conversation and self-reflection. Therapy can help provide lasting personal growth and healthier coping mechanisms for people. Therapy can help re-shape how the brain functions through experiences!
I love working with young adults and supporting them through complex and overwhelming transitions. This includes navigating college stress, managing anxiety related to career decisions or building healthy adult relationships. I also love working with couples and families to help them improve communication and foster a deeper connection. I help them address conflict, problem solve in a collaborative way, or simply learn to navigate day-to-day challenges with more empathy and understanding.
Outside of my role as a therapist, I love my beagle, Ellie, and we love to go on long hikes together! I also love to travel and spend time expanding my horizons by exploring new cultures and perspectives.
